Beth Cavener Stichter’s animal forms are symbolic of man’s psychological struggles with fear, apathy and powerlessness. She deftly combines animal forms with human physical expression, often manipulating the animal’s physiology to give it more human characteristics. Her work is at once lyrical and disturbing. She also has one of the best website addresses out there; www.followtheblackrabbit.com.

  1. Thanks for putting her in your blog. I love her work. I could spot her humanistic animals from a mile away.
